There are more covers of this song that one would care to count. Including a Pussycat Dolls version (but why?).
But as covers go, this one rocks (or is it sways?) so well, it makes you go dig up the original and lover the cover even more – not just because of where’s it’s used (in the classique SF classic Dark City) but how and why it’s used. Jennifer Connelly singing in Anita Kelsey’s sultry voice in that dark and dinghy place just adds that touch, even if its appearance in the movie is only the first few bars. If you have seen Dark City, you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t I recommend the Director’s Cut of Dark City. And not just for this awesome cover:

Also famously known (to people of our generation) as the father of Jeff Buckley, Tim Buckley did this gem of a song, and what a cover by Frusciante on his latest solo effort The Empyrean, a gem of an album 'best played as loud as possible in dark living rooms late at night'.
